What is a chamber of Commerce?
A chamber is an independent, business organization focused on a specific mission as drafted by its membership. Its services and initiatives are funded solely by the membership through annual dues and programs or benefit fees. It is not a government agency, nor affiliated with any other group or organization.
Greater Liverpool Chamber of Commerce
The mission of the Greater Liverpool Chamber of Commerce, Inc. is to enhance the quality of life in the Greater Liverpool area, including the Village of Liverpool and the Towns of Clay and Salina. This mission is to be accomplished through the development and perpetuation of programs for businesses, along with the community involvement and events.
In 1958 the Liverpool Businessmen's Association was established. This organization was later to be Inc. as the Greater Liverpool Chamber of Commerce in Late October of 1975.
A direct benefit of your membership is having the Chamber's Board of Directors, committees, and staff working with and for you to make this community a better place in which to do business. The Chamber encourages all members to be involved in events or programs and to provide input on the direction and focus of our activities. The Chamber's annual terms of office and fiscal year begin November 1.
