The Mission of ICP is to be a community resource agency to support and improve the quality of life for youth and families of Oswego County. ICP is comprised of the Child Care & Development Council (CCDC), Traffic Safety Board (TSB) and Tobacco Free Network of CNY (TFN).
Child Care & Development Council (CCDC) is comprised of Registration, Childcare Resource and Referral (CCR&R) and Child ad Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Registration assists new family day care and school aged childcare programs with the registration process, provides support and conducts inspections of existing programs. CCR&R provides childcare referrals to parents; training, technical assistance and health care consultancy to regular providers and enrollment/monitoring of legally exempt care. CACFP educates, monitors and reimburses providers/programs serving nutritious meals meeting USDA requirements.
Oswego County Traffic Safety Board (TSB) provides education to school, businesses and community organizations to increase residents’ safety while walking, bicycling or driving. Coordinates similar efforts with law enforcements, healthcare providers and child passenger safety technicians.
Tobacco Free Network of CNY (TFN) educates community members and policy makers to reduce the impact of tobacco marketing and eliminate exposure to secondhand smoke in Cayuga, Onondaga and Oswego Counties. TFN provides free technical support and materials to establish tobacco free policies.
