Summer Fun & Camp Fair at Fairgrounds
Every summer, parents face a problem of how to occupy their school-age kids over vacation. Family Times’ Summer Fun and Camp Fair to the rescue!
Summer Fun and Camp Fair gives families a chance to plan their summer in just one day, with summer camp and program representatives from a variety of organizations ready to give parents answers and information.
The Family Times Summer Fun and Camp Fair takes place on Saturday, April 1, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Horticulture Building at the State Fairgrounds in Syracuse. Admission is free!
While parents gather information, kids of all ages can check out the entertainment, including a demonstration by the Syracuse Silver Knights and an appearance by 93Q host Jack Ryan, who’ll be there with games and prizes. The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office will be photographing and fingerprinting children as part of its Safe Child ID program. Wanderers’ Rest Humane Association, the pet adoption organization, will participate. There will also be a bounce house and other activities, plus food for sale, including Gannon’s Isle, which will offer several flavors of delicious ice cream.
Family Times: The Parenting Guide of Central New York is a locally owned magazine distributed every month to newsstands and other outlets throughout Onondaga and surrounding counties.
Summer Fun and Camp Fair is being presented for the fourteenth year in a row as a service to area families and the summer programs that are the main exhibitors.
